Hey guys!

My name is Sam, also known as the little chef or yoga freak among close friends. I’m a food-loving, tree-hugging, fitness-crazed, nuts and berries kinda girl. I created Body Culture to share my passion for all things fitness and food. I’m here to help you on your journey, and give you insight on my own!

Oh, how’d my love affair with the gym start you ask? Well, I’ll tell you.

It all began in high school: 5โ€™3โ€ and 80 pounds. Although I played volleyball and softball I knew my lack of fat and muscle was due to malnutrition, not physical activity. I knew I was in an unhealthy state that was detrimental toย my health [read my story here]. However, when I got to college everything changed. I fell in love with the energizing, fun group exercise classes; once I fueled my body for my workouts I felt stronger, more vibrant and happier!

Hopefully BC can help you find your way in this overwhelming body culture of ours.
